A kinder, gentler Freaknik is coming to Atlanta this summer

After 20 years of inactivity, the event is coming back to Atlanta but, this time, as an “all-inclusive, family-friendly” festival that “promotes unity and togetherness.” Many fans of the old Freaknik have voiced their displeasure with the decision, knowing that “unity” and “togetherness” meant something much different back in the 90s. By that, I mean, it was called Freaknik and that just would not stand in today’s culture.
