Breaking: Wizards guard John Wall ruptures Achilles in a home slip and fall accident

Washington Wizards star John Wall had season-ending surgery in December to repair bone spurs in his left heel and was expected to be sidelined six to eight months before returning. The latest injury will require more surgery and another 12 months of rehab before returning to basketball activities.

John Wall’s annual salary over the next four years, starting next season:

2019-20: $38.2 million
2020-21: $41.2 million
2021-22: $44.3 million
2022-23: $47.3 million
