Serena Williams celebrates the diversity of women in Nike film

By  |

In 2017, Serena Williams solidified her status at as the greatest ever by winning the Australian Open while eight weeks pregnant.

Throughout her career, the 23-time Major winner has used sport as a platform for progress. It’s no surprise that with Serena’s return to the court for her first tour-level match next week at Indian Wells, the tennis icon is using the moment to once again stand for equality.

“I want people to understand there is no wrong way to be a woman. We shouldn’t be made to feel like we have to act a certain way because we are women and we shouldn’t be made to feel like we need to fit into the same box. We are all different and we should celebrate those differences,” says Serena.

That thought is reflected in a new Nike film, “Until We All Win,” that recognizes International Women’s Day and features Serena.
