50 fuck up in his second album and went for the pop crowd every singe he sang and i thought it was wack this album was kind of hot i thought he should of fell off after the masacre because he went popand these fagget rap fans never know whats hot or flop till years later look at jay-z yeah his album sold but blue print 3 was wack but the new rap fans wont know for another 4 years

50 needs to worry about the fact that he puttin up Rick Ross numbers and leave Jay out of it. Your gimmick dont work no more, No one feeds into your beef before album bullshit no more. I'm sorry to announce this to all of you hardcore 50 fans: But 50 cent's era as a major platinum selling artist is over. I'm not a hater. I'm just being real. 50 jumped in the game when Gangsta rap was at its all time high point, with 50's blunt rap style and his muscular built and being shot 9 times, he fitted the gangsta image perfectly. He hopped in the game with Em and took off. 50 cent sold millions of records back then basically off of a prolonged buzz- His "buying CD" fan base mainly consisted of young people who either glamorized the gangsta life syle or suburban young people that wanted to be black and young girls that was attracted to that hardcore image and his muscles. This was all in the early to mid 2000. I respect his hustle though!

But now in 2009, Gangsta rap is no longer relevant-and 50's "buying CD" fan base are not into his style of Gangsta music anymore. Its no longer cool to be a gansta. His "buying CD" fan base has shifted toward a "snap your fingers style of rap" or a more lyrical style of rap such as Lil Wayne, Drake, etc. We all know that 50 has never been known for his lyrical skill and 50 never grew as an artist.

These low album sales were predictable. If it wasn't for the Kanye competition, I don't believe his Curtis album would have had half the success that it reached. We all must realize that this is just the evolution of the rap business. Basically, only a rare few artist stay relevant. That's why Em and Jay deserve so much credit. 50 cent had his run. 50 cent has made millions more than most of us will ever make in our life time combined so there's no need for anyone to feel sorry for 50 cent or be all defensive over him. But the fact remains that 50 cent is no longer relevant.
