Infamous LAPD Beating Victim Rodney King To Fight Former Cop In Boxing Match
King will fight tonight in a celebrity boxing match against a former Chester city police officer whose tattooed 6-foot frame and Mohawk make his former profession almost inconceivable.
While some may shake their head at King playing the police brutality case he was involved in for a few bucks, King and promoters say they don’t think the bout trivializes the L.A. riots.
“Not to take anything away from a bad situation ... but you gotta do something fun in between,” King said, adding that he enjoys boxing. “Me, being in sports half my life, this is like another sport activity. I wouldn’t pass this up for nothing in the world.”
Promoter Damon Feldman said King’s opponent, Simon Aouad, was chosen out of roughly 4,000 entries to fight King. He said there’s been tremendous buzz, although he doesn’t see a controversy.
“Honestly, this is probably one of the best in terms of interest that we’ve had aside from [Danny] Bonaduce versus [Jose] Canseco because of the King name,” Feldman said.
Aouad, who was fired after 17 months on Chester’s force, said he plans to “break every rib” on King.

Like the day of saints called shot gun wedding day. blake, after 19 years of worship i never saw my deformity. Cops are like babies, and sometimes they say the good does not go unpunished. Wierd. He looks good. Be like mike, a king will let himself be known, far fucking out. This makes me green because, I love money, and most people do practice self defence at cop owned martial art classes.
