I am biased to NYC Rappers because I grew up in Hollis Queens back in the day when DMC, LL Cool J, Sugar Hill, Curtis Blow, & Flash & da Furious 5, Spoonie G 'nem...we could see them battle @ Jamaica Park, and do block parties & concerts all ova Queens. It was pure fun back then(no drive-bys):P...runnin down to Jamaica Ave. to "gitchu" some hot new Turtle Shell Adidas(no laces) lol, all the old fashion jeans, Lee suits, Calvin Kliens, Gloria Vanderbuilts..."gitcho" new Album at the "WIZ", "gitcho" new boom box at "Crazy Eddies" lol. & Best of all...a $5 Nickle Bag was FAT as a pack of short Newports!
~50 represents all that for me, in his style, flava, & tight Beats. He has an old Soul in a young Body, & He's keeping the NY Hip-Hop Traditions Alive, as NYC will Always be the true Foundation of Rap Music!
