Met 50 Cent at SECC Glasgow on Thurs 8th November 2007

This is post is going to pretty much be a duplicate of Nichola's, the other competition winner, but I figured I'd write one anyways!

When my boyfriend got an email on Thursday morning we both actually thought it was a wind up. We already had a set of tickets as well as VIP tickets to the Afterparty so we ended up going to the gig with my workmate Kirsty and her boyfriend Greg who said they wouldn't mind just going home if it all turned out not to be real! But we got a call on the way to the gig, while stuck in traffic, so we knew it was actually happening. Ger had told me the previous winner in Dublin had got backstage so we knew it was too good an opportunity to pass up.

Anyway we got a call from Tony who told us to go to the Box Office and he'd get us there. We then met up with the other two winners, Nichola and her man, and Tony got us out tickets from the office. He then just said to follow him and walked into the arena and took us all the way through to the back of the stage and upstairs. When we went upstairs I saw Lloyd Banks walking casually past and almost had a heart attack! We were then suddenly dragged back downstairs and sat in the Canteen not really sure what was happening next!

Now, I don't know if anyone can confirm this to us, but we had heard Fabolous was with the tour for whatever reason, and a guy who looked like him walked in with another guy and a bodyguard who was six foot tall and probably about the same width, who stared at us he thought like we were plotting against Fab [if that's who it was, maybe not!] or about to lung at him, I dunno lol. Anyway the two guys just sat and had some foot and talked amongst themselves. If anyone can confirm that it was Fab can you let us know?

After sitting in the Canteen for a while we knew it was getting near the time when 50 was going on stage. We could hear the thud of the crowd getting louder and louder and started getting anxious to get out there! Tony then reappeared about 9pm and took us out of the backstage area and back into the main arena, where we walked through the crowd (all holding holds as we got nervous we would lose the guy in the crowd lol). He then took us to a square spot sectioned off in the middle of the arena, where a guy with a camera was filmning the gig and there was numerous other technical guys working and security people wandering about. So we had out own little area to stand in. To be honest I would have preferred the crowd as we were so far from the stage we could barely see anything, but I figured if we were gonna meet them later I could hardly complain!

The concert was amazing and the crowd had a great time. Definately think 50 and Banks worked really hard out there, we were very impressed at the gig. When the encore was just beginning Tony then took us back up, where we got to stand in the back next to the stage, which was great for getting a couple of close up videos!

After the show ended Lloyd Banks walked past us and out to the crowd, I think to sign autographs and meet and greet, which I thought was really good of him to do! We then followed Tony back where he had to argue with a bouncer for a while to let us past (don't know what this bouncer was thinking, he was obviously with 50 etc. the whole time!). We got past and were put back into the Canteen to wait until 50 had had a shower and got freshened up after the show. We sat in there for a while and just had a chat, it was freezing cold!

Then 50 just walked in with Tony, gave Nichola and me a hug and then shook our boyfriends hands and asked if we'd seen the show before. I think we were in a bit starstruck and an awe! He had his arm round my shoulder and I had to fight off the urge to play with his very nice diamond bracelet, lol! Tony then took our photos with him and promised to send them to us by email. 50 and everyone then walked up the hallway and out the back door, to a crowd of screaming girls who were on the other side of the fence. They went straight into three cars with blacked out windows and that was it!

We then walked across the huge car park in artic weather and almost froze to death as a group! Nichola and her man very nicely then gave us a lift into the city centre where we could go to the Afterparty, at the Tunnel, which was great. Lloyd Banks kept to his word and did show up, so my boyfriend managed to meet him and Whookid which pretty much completed his night! The whole group all got up the DJ box of the Tunnel which the crowd loved. They then went back to VIP where about 50 crazed women lunged at the small area where they were sitting, lol. My boyfriend and me had both paid for VIP tickets yet when he went to the toilet he had to fight to get back in as it was 'ladies only'! Not good! He was eventually let back in. It was a good night for the guys I'm sure ;)

Anyway, big thanks to thisis50.com, big Tony (hope you enjoyed the Afterparty too!), 50 for taking the time to meet us, Lloyd Banks, Whookid and all his guys who bothered to attend the Afterparty in little old Glasgow (everyone really appreciated it!), and to Nichola and her man who were great and thanks very much for the lift! If it wasn't for you we may have frozen to death lol x
